Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 5.00% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 4.00% or 0.0030 points to end at 0.0780 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.56% or 0.016 points to 0.465 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 4.31% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 3.85% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was 3.51% or 0.00 points to 0.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 11 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.00% or 0.050 to 1.050. Shares in Atacocha (LM:ATB) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.56% or 0.016 to 0.465.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.29% or 0.15 to $52.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.20% or 15.65 to trade at $1286.05 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2730, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8472.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 93.27.
