Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.09% or 0.71 points to trade at 23.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 2.88% or 1.52 points to end at 54.38 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 2.37% or 0.64 points to 27.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 5.28% or 2.24 points to trade at 40.18 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) declined 0.96% or 0.26 points to end at 26.76 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.33% or 0.11 points to 33.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 60 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.28% or 2.24 to 40.18. Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.88% or 1.52 to 54.38.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.27% or 0.21 to $77.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $73.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.50 to trade at $1255.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.1734, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 93.81.
