The more S&P goes up, the more Staples goes down! I Can't understand! Help me somebody?
The S&P is a bench mark, nothing more nothing less. While its a fair marker that doesn't mean that its always going to be inverse for some of the sector ETF's. And the past does not dictate the future by any stretch, the market has changed. go look and compare what this ETF actually tracks, if the marker it tracks is going up this will go down inversely, this is a mirror to its volatile cousin. compare all the charts, there is a pattern I just finished looking at it.
S&P is 64% bearish, nevertheless is almost everyday Up! Small cpas is 50% bullish nevertheles is always going down! I cant understand! I have other Vanguard ETF called Growth that goes in different direction when one is down, the other is UP! Almost never they went in the same direction!
The Gap between the growth of VDC index and S&P in a year is around 9%. If VDC manage to get half of this it should reach 153!!! Or on the other hand, if the VD index is right, S&P should fall to 2300!!!
VDC now is trying to recover the Gap between its index and S&P500, that is almost 15% in a year!
S&P is 71% Bearish and VDC 50% Bullish but these sentiments goes in the wrong directions, while S&P are slightly underneath the historical record and VDC has a growth 20% below S&Ps! Somebody explain, please!
How can S&P go up and at the same time VDC Staples goes down? Sometimes the difference is more than 1% in a day! More than a year ago, VDC used to grow much more than S&P, but in the last year, VDC stalled more than 20% BELOW S&P! What on earth happened? In contrast, the members' sentiments for VDC is 50% Bullish and for S&P is LESS!!!
It should go up faster than S&P, and it happened in the last years, but it´s not happening now! I can't understand why!
