On July 30, 2024, 10% of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust's ("GBTC Trust") underlying Bitcoin was spun-off in connection with the creation of Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ("BTC Trust"). As a result, the NAV of GBTC Trust shares was 10% lower than the previous day‘s NAV on July 30, 2024 (not accounting for any potential increase or decrease in the price of Bitcoin). GBTC Trust shareholders do not need to take any action to receive the benefits of the spin-off, and will be entitled to receive shares of BTC Trust on a 1:1 basis. Therefore, their overall exposure to Bitcoin will remain the same.
