why? no move
They closed it. Broken strategy. TechTrend Trades done. Finished. Perma bear average down casualty.
CYA $0.06 ... TechTrend Trades wants to remind all hodlers that after Friday's close, the fund will reverse split 1:20!
Hi Jeff :) TTT is now busy shorting bitcoin he doesn’t have time to reflect on previous successful predictions. Thank you for the tip on this, I left at .70 C and did not try to average down further, still took a hit on this one . Good thing it was not big .
... LOL... I see him. He's been shorting BTC since $30k. No way he's solvent enough that any broker would allow him margin. He's a flashing red light of compliance issues.
CYA $0.38 -14.58% at Friday Close! Penny above Weekly S2. $bpspx +1.20 at 70.40% (percent of S&P500 components with a point and figure buy signal associated with its chart). Incredible demand after late October's 24% measure, bull alert then 32% and bulls confirmed at 40%.
CYA $0.44 -6.97% ... Slips under Weekly S1 of $0.45.
$BPSPX 69.40% from stockcharts.com
why?
Their 3rd largest position is about to go poof on the 15th. See TechTrend Trader longing and averaging down from late October.
Hi Jeff, lost May password on Da Man acct , anyway , thanks for the book suggestion , Point and Figure, I am reading it, it’s good.
stockcharts.com has a free version. $BPSPX is the S&P500 bullish %. While this move higher in the SPX is fresh in your mind, grasp Tom's 30% to 70% football field and who had the RISK in late October at 24%, then 40%, now 63%.
Dorsey/Wright ... NASDAQ acquired their system, but you can try a free trial once you read the book. Good fortune and good trading!
Thank you Jeff :)
Lol. Who's the genius running this fund? 95% loss in a year...you may want to consider changing your career ;)
My best guess would be TechTrend Trader. Perma bear and if you think this has been bad just since $5, his SPX puts, ES shorts and RUT put trades haven't been any better. His math isn't good either and if he managed money for a living, the SEC would make Madoff look like an angel.
Barring some unforseen event, their SPX Nov 17 $3700 puts go poof. So do 3Ts.
The way I see it , it will be poof …
SPX blowing up on TechTrend Trader. He just can't get enough the last 2 weeks. Brutal couple of weeks for his set of darts
I had a car accident tonight, I feel happy to be alive.. Interesting how priorities and perspective change … Cheers ..
.. Glad you are above ground. So true! Thankful for every day. Retire as early as possible with prudent trade management. Gorgeous morning of duck hunting here on the high plains with friends that still do the 9-5 M-F.
Enjoy :)
Bob ... look at the last 9 daily bars. Each close, below the open. What's the MINIMUM test for some type of technical test of any rally. Not that (unch) is a rally after a 9 day drubbing.
I would just hate to take 50% loss and then for some unknown reason it bounces even to$1 … But I am starting to lose hope slowly … Today was a first in 9 days without loss …
I will give it few more days. Thank you Jeff.
... it's tough position to be in. Other option is to sell 1/4, or 1/2, book some loss, hold and cross fingers a disaster hits the world overnight.
Wow a rally at last, after 8 red days and drop from $5.XX t0 $.73 … It was worth waiting, just don’t know how to allocate my profits, might need a help of a financial advisor, lol … Joking aside and all the blame on me and my gambling episode I am really curious what moves this garbage … Today S&P 500 VIX was up 5.81%, S&P 500 down .81%, yet here we are with .36% gain … I saw this jump quite a bit in October so something was moving it.. If you know what it is please share, greatly appreciated….
On their web site it states that as of Nov 08 2023 it has 84.88 % holdings in cash …
... Yep. And from $6.00 to $0.77, the question is 84.88% of what? Will they just see what happens come Dec 29 and either call it quits, or give it one last try below $4200? I know, based on observation in this chat, averaging dow from $5 has not solved the problem.
I see that.
I see 1.2x by next week if in not by this Friday.
$0.88 is the first test. Right?
$0.64 @ Close!
PFIX $93.60 -3.11% .. Nearing Weekly S1 $93.58 (see PFIX chat)
VIX 14.58, CYA $0.78 ... Thanks for playing TechTrend Trades!
PFIX $94.45 -2.24% @ 12:46 PM ET
USO $69.95 -2.58% @ 12:45 PM ET ... Tough couple weeks for CYA and oil bulls.
$BPSPX +0.80 @ 45.40% as internals continue to improve from late October's 24.00% measure. Still some room to late July's 80%.
Moon time
Those two things had happened back in October on both instances when it jumped over $5 .
I am not planing on averaging down , thank you, I am where I am $1.68 .
$0.66 @ 10:55 AM ET
CYA $0.83 -7.07% @ Close!
Kong Qui say he who continually try to pick bottom from $4.00 end up with stinky finger and no money.
Added some @ 0.88
now which of your shorts are you trying hedge?
CYA $0.79 -5.05% @ Close!
CYA $0.75 -5.28% @ Close! -14.77% from 3T's 8th average down!
Avg $1.68 I hope this bounces back at least to $2 - $3 at some point ….
... you can target it all you want, but the monthly pivot isn't going to change.
Thanks to both of you for the input, I will sit on it for now … Definitely the craziest ticker I ever touched … I saw it bounce last month and Tech Trend played it well . We will see what happens next. Have a good evening gents.
... it was initially designed as an extreme flight to safety (bonds), but just the opposite took hold and one of the biggest bear markets in bonds took hold. This then broke the hedge, why CYA had to stop paying dividends, but TechTrends Trades refused to acknowledge the hedge was then broken and has yet again averaged down. As you read various posts of TechTrends, just realize he's a perma bear, even bonds, yet CYA was a bond bull weighted hedge. Oh the irony!!!
it's down 82% in a week lol. sign me up
CYA $0.90 -12.62%, spx 4,373 and VIX 16.23 @ 03:08 PM.
See Nov 1 chat for a good chuckle.
I smell a rally. Buckle up bulls...
I take it you cut your losses in oil today? LOL
You'd better read the prospectus, or visit their website for 2nd largest position, which is now out the money, which I warned you about in the SPX chat as you were averaging into your SPX (long put) days ago. Please cease and desist.
Positions 6,7,&8 about to be wiped, going to have to dig in to the cash for new positions
CYA $0.95 -54.11% @ Close!
