US Dollar Index Futures Discussions

What is the benefit of having a strong dollar now? You may argue because usa is the strongest economic power. Fine, but 30% of debt is bought by japan and china and is priced in dollar. If dollar appreciate, More money will flow out from usa to china and japan and I dont see how this can help the recovery right now. Buying dollar you are weaking usa and giving more money to china and japan. If you trust in dollar sell it now against yen.
and reduces liquidity and credit spending, and ultimately accelerates recession rather than boosting the recovery. Nobody benefits from this, and thats the reason why the Fed cut rates and printer 700B more dollars, that is, Fed is selling short usd until the gross domestic product will turn back green.

@Flaviano could you plz explain how wud a strong dollar hurt overseas investments in USD denominated bonds and result in capital flight to chn and jpn.on d contrary it wud b beneficial to the Chinese investors when they would redeem the bonds and convert it to yuan which has depreciated Vis a Vis USD.but have 2 agree that fed is short USD through its deficit financing mechanism and the exports wud certainly take a jolt but then again the crude exports from the us will be in the emerging economies basket which in any case is struggling to hold its currency against the USD.infact it's a double whammy to the EMs with collapsing equities, rising debt and thereby fiscal deficit, spiking sovereign yields due to notorious credit rating agencies and much more.i suppose the USD is holding near to its support if not strong due to the capital flight from these countries.in short tough times
