American States Water (AWR) Q1 Earnings & Revenues Lag

American States Water Company (NYSE:AWR) reported first-quarter 2016 pro forma earnings of 28 cents per share, which lagged the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 34 cents by 17.6% and the year-ago figure of 32 cents by 12.5%.

The year-over-year decline was primarily due to lower contribution from its Water and Contracted Services segments.

As of Mar 31, 2016, long-term debts were $320.9 million, flat with year-ago levels.

Net cash from operating activities in first-quarter 2016 was $27.6 million, down from $38.4 million in the year-ago period.
