During the second quarter of 2016, the company scheduled the opening of two remodeled stores in one of the most lucrative markets of Northern and Southern California.
In line with the announcement, on Jul 1, Williams-Sonoma’s brand, Pottery Barn opened a newly designed store at The Village at Corte Madera in Corte Madera, CA. The store is designed like a modern farmhouse, blending rustic and modern elements. It used wood from buildings at the Oakland Army Base and hand forged iron shelving for creating an industrial-inspired design for the store.
The huge store spanning 12,288 square foot flaunts spectacular high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a skylight in the center. The guests are welcomed by 11-foot high steel framed doors followed by a seating area. The store uses LED lighting, low VOC paints and reclaimed wood in order to be environmentally friendly. In addition, the store also has an expanded Design Studio, which offers professional consultations to the guests.
