A few stocks that may grab investor attention today:

- Wall Street expects IHS (NYSE: IHS) to report its Q2 earnings at $0.94 per share on revenue of $382.7 million. IHS shares dropped 0.59% to $103.76 in after-hours trading.
- Shoe Carnival (NASDAQ: SCVL) initiated a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share. Shoe Carnival shares rose 0.97% to close at $20.78 on Friday.
- Shares of MicroVision (NASDAQ: MVIS) tumbled 24.08% on Friday after the company priced an offering of common stock and warrants. MicroVision shares gained 2.64% to $2.33 in the after-hours trading session.
- Steel Dynamics (NASDAQ: STLD) issued downbeat Q2 earnings forecast. It now projects Q2 earnings of $0.15 to $0.20 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.25 per share. Steel Dynamics shares dropped 3.81% to $10.67 in the after-hours trading session.
- Shares of YPF SA (NYSE: YPF) surged 6.89% on Friday after Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim revealed that he had bought an 8.4% stake in the company. YPF shares gained 1.61% to $11.35 in after-hours trading.
