Good Morning!
The Grain complex continues to be going nowhere fast. Rains mixed with snow is forecasted for Friday and it is raining enough today to keep the fields messy. In the overnight electronic session the May Corn is currently trading at 356 ¾, which is unchanged. The trading range has been 358 ¼ to 356 ½. The overall complex seems to still be under pressure at the moment. With political upheaval in Brazil we may see some bullish overtones as they are mired in a rocky civil fight against the current government.
On the Ethanol front there were no trades posted in the overnight electronic session. The May contract settled at 1.480 and is currently showing 5 bids @ 1.460 and 1 offer @ 1.481.
On the Crude Oil front the API showed a whopping draw of 4.3 million barrels when we were looking for builds of 2.5 million which set the tone for the rally we are seeing this morning. Refineries gearing up for summer blends of gasoline and the OPEC non-OPEC meeting later this month could produce another running of the bulls. In the overnight electronic session the May contract is currently trading at 3695, which is 106 points higher. The trading range has been 3715 to 3643 so far.
On the Natural Gas front the market is trading lower in this shoulder season with the May contract currently trading at 1.914, which is 4 cents lower. The trading range has been 1.943 to 1.906 in quiet trade.
Have a Great Trading Day!
