GoldGold prices declined around 0.7 percent on Thursday and touched an intra-day low $1735/oz. However, dollar weakness cushioned sharp decline in the yellow metal prices yesterday.
On the MCX Gold December contract dropped by 1.1 percent and touched an intra-day low of Rs.28,453/10 gms on Thursday.
Gold prices is trading slightly lower today, extending losses from the previous session, after encouraging signs that Italy is making an attempt to ease the political disorder and avoid an economic disaster.
Silver
Taking cues from fall in gold prices, silver also declined marginally by 0.1 percent in yesterday’s trade. But, dollar weakness resisted further decline in prices. The white metal touched an intra-day low of $33.14/oz and ended its trading session at $34.1/oz yesterday.
On the MCX, Silver December contract dropped around 1 percent and touched an intra-day low of Rs.55,688/kg on Thursday.
