Invacare Corporation (NYSE:IVC) had a nice day on Monday. Let’s first look at this big pop, the 3-day pullback, and then on Monday, it jumped 65 cents, or 4.33%, to 15.65, on 1.23 million shares traded. if it gets above the wedge that formed, it could very well make a run at 17, 18 1/2, and 20. Those are my targets going forward. It has 10 1/2 days to cover.
NOVAN, INC. (NASDAQ:NOVN) had a big day on Monday, which was a follow-through from Friday’s session where it popped sharply. On Monday, it jumped 67 cents, or 13%, to 5.98, on 2.7 million shares traded. There is resistance up around 7 3/4-8, which is my near-term target. It has 4.4 days to cover.
Stocks on the Short Side….
Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:AZPN) wants to break. It just needs to get some downside follow-through. Right now it has a double-top, and a bear wedge. Still, it closed up 26 cents to 56.87, on 307,574 shares traded. However, if it rolls over from here, it will get to 55 3/4, and if it gets through that, I think it will come down further.
Veritiv Corporation (NYSE:VRTV) has certainly turned negative, and quickly. On Monday, it was down another 95 cents to 37.15, on 111,121 shares traded. It has been down 8 days in a row and broke support. I can see this getting down to 34 pretty quickly, even the high 20’s.
