Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are higher this morning coming off of a strong week in US markets while investors look to the FOMC meeting that takes place this week. Higher oil prices and renewed M&A have also given the markets a boost. Asian stocks settled mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY (NYSE:SPY) gapped down to begin Friday’s session and edged back higher throughout the day. Support will lie at the low of Friday’s range at $248.57, followed by gap entry at $248.02, then the 20EMA at $247.36, then gap fill at $247.11, continued at $246.30, $246.23, the 50SMA at $246.16, then $244.95, $244.62, and the 100SMA at $243.70. Resistance will lie at the high of Friday’s range, which is a near term pivot and gap entry, at $249.30, followed by gap fill at $249.60, and record highs at $250.32.
