Pandora Media (NYSE:P)
Information Technology — Internet Software & Services | Reports July 31
The Estimize consensus calls for EPS of -$0.21, three cents higher than the Wall Street consensus and a decrease of 75% YoY. Currently, the Estimize community is looking for sales of $366.4M, which is roughly in line with the Street ($364.7M).
Investors are eagerly awaiting the music-streaming service, which rolls out its second-quarter earnings on Monday. The print will be Pandora's first since it accepted $480 million in funding from Sirius XM (NASDAQ:SIRI). That's in conjunction with the sale of its ticketing service, Ticketfly, for $200 million. Pandora looks to shift some of its resources to ad technology, which will hopefully increase advertising revenue. Investors will also be interested in the number of active users: in the first quarter Pandora saw a decline of 2.7 million listeners. The real question will be how many of those active users pay for the premium service at a cost of $9.99 a month.
