Market movers today
In terms of global economic data releases, today is a very quiet day. In the UK, PMI construction for September is due out and in the euro area, PPI for August is due.
In the Scandies, the Swedish Riksbank Governor Stefan Ingves (whose mandate was extended for five years last week) is scheduled to talk at 11:30 CET.
In Norway, the September manufacturing PMI is due out (delayed from yesterday), where markets estimate a further rise thanks to stronger global growth, a weak NOK and a gradual turnaround in oil-related industries.
Finally, in Denmark, focus is on the currency reserves data for September. The krone was held close to 7.4400 against the euro for most of September, which means that the Nationalbank probably had no need to intervene. The currency reserves should therefore be more or less unchanged from August.
