US October manufacturing production data is due out at 15:15 CET. It will be interesting to see whether the positive signals from the ISM and Markit PMI manufacturing indices will be visible in the 'hard data'. We will see the first indications on November activity with the regional manufacturing indices Empire and Philly due on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
The UK labour market report for September is due out at 10:30 CET. As economic activity has been quite resilient to Brexit uncertainties, we estimate the labour market data will show the same as well. That said, this year we have seen a stabilisation in the unemployment rate as firms have hit the brakes on their hiring plans following Brexit. We estimate the unemployment rate (3M average) was unchanged at 4.9% and estimate that average weekly earnings ex bonuses (3M average) rose 2.3% y/y.
