Following a 2.1 percent decline, US shredded scrap finished as the week’s biggest mover on the weekly Construction MMI®. Chinese rebar prices were off slightly, down from a week ago. Chinese low price of 62% Australian iron ore fines remained unchanged for the week. Chinese H-beam steel remained unchanged for the week.
European 1050 aluminum prices held steady from the previous week. Following a steady week, prices for Chinese aluminum bar closed flat.
The weekly US Midwest bar fuel surcharge ticked up 1.0 percent over the past week. Last week, the weekly US Gulf Coast bar fuel surcharge shifted slightly, rising by 0.5 percent to close. The weekly US Rocky Mountain bar fuel surcharge rose 0.3 percent over the past week.
