As we head into Easter week the most important celebration on our calendar we have a lot on our table before the Easter feast. The markets will be closed on Good Friday and Holy Thursday will give us a lot to think about with Export Sales, Jobless Claims, Grain Stocks and Prospective Plantings to name a few. On the Corn front in the overnight electronic session the May Corn is currently trading at 378 ¾, which is 1 ½ of a cent higher. The trading range has been 380 ¾ to 378.
On the Ethanol front the market is active with rollovers. In the overnight electronic session the April contract is currently trading at 1.459, which is .008 of a cent higher. The trading range has been 1.459 to 1.444. The market traded 20 contracts and Open Interest is at 656 contracts. The market is currently showing 1 bid @ 1.452 and 1 offer @ 1.458.
On the Crude Oil front the markets trading range is wide open with being in profit taking mode after last week’s drive to the upside. In the overnight electronic session the May Crude Oil is currently trading at 6568, which is 20 points lower. The trading range has been 6655 to 6528.
On the Natural Gas front The April contract expires today. And the market may have it’s last bull run. In the overnight electronic session the May Natural Gas is currently trading at 2.658, which is 2 ½ cents higher. The trading range has been 2.662 to 2.610.
