As everyone and their cousins probably know, Amazon recently purchased Whole Foods for a staggering $13.4 billion. This caused a push by some representatives to look further into the Whole Foods acquisition in terms of its effect on “food deserts”, or neighborhoods more than a mile away from a grocery store, where fresh food is inaccessible.
