Putnam Investments managed assets worth more than $169 billion as of October 2018, of which $79 billion is allocated to more than 100 mutual funds, including equity and fixed income funds. The company operates in North America, Europe and Asia through offices in Boston, London, Sydney, Frankfurt, Singapore and Tokyo.

After the introduction of its fund in 1937, Putnam Investments gradually evolved as one of the most-renowned global financial investment companies. It provides a wide range of financial services, including 60 institutional strategies. At present, the Boston-based company has more than 180 investment professionals.

Putnam Dynamic Asset Allocation Conservative A PACAX aims for total returns consistent with capital preservation. PACAX mostly invests in fixed-income investments that include scrutinized debt instruments, corporate debts, U.S. and foreign government debts. The fund invests in both U.S. and non-U.S. companies. Putnam Dynamic Asset Allocation Conservative A has three and five-year annualized returns of 4.8% and 4.2% respectively.

PACAX has an expense ratio of 0.99% as compared with the category average of 1.38%.

Putnam Sustainable Leaders Y PNOYX seeks long-term capital growth by investing in common stocks of U.S. companies. When investing, the fund focuses on those companies that display a commitment toward sustainable business practices. The fund has three and five-year annualized returns of 17.3% and 11.6% respectively.

As of December 2018, PNOYX held 91 issues, with 6.2% of its assets invested in Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT).

George Putnam Balanced R5 PGELX aims to offer a balanced investment that comprises of a diversified portfolio of bonds and stocks which provide both current income and capital appreciation. The fund mostly invests in a combination of common stocks of large American companies and bonds. PGELX has three and five-year annualized returns of 10% and 7.4%, respectively.

Aaron M. Cooper is one of the fund managers of PGELX since 2014.

Putnam Sustainable Future Y PMVYX seeks capital growth by mostly investing in common stocks of U.S. companies. The fund specifically focuses on companies whose products and services offer solutions that contribute toward environmental, social and economic development. PMVYX has three and five-year annualized returns of 10.8% and 7% respectively.

PMVYX has an expense ratio of 0.82% as compared with the category average of 1.09%.
