BlackBerry Limited (NYSE:BB) was up 1.30, or 12%, to 12.17, on 30 million shares traded on Wednesday. That was the biggest volume in about 90 days. It popped out across a key, double top on Wednesday, and I put a swing on it. I think this stock has the momentum to get to near 14, and then up in the zone near 17.
Cymabay Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBAY), one of our old swing trades, has been consolidating for about three months. On Wednesday, it popped and got up to 58 cents, or 6.9%, to 8.99, on nearly 800,000 shares traded. That’s not huge volume, but the best volume on an up-day going back about 5 weeks. If it can accelerate through the triple top, keep and eye on 9.40, which could lead to 11, and then 14.
Immunomedics, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMMU), an old swing trade of ours, gained 56 cents, or 4%, to 14.02, on 3.4 million shares traded on Wednesday. Look at the high that was reached on Oct 2 at 14.48. Wednesday’s high was 14.13, so it’s right in that zone of resistance. If it can get through there, near 18 is a possibility.
Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. (TO:KL) was up 28 cents, or 2%, to 14.58, on 508,433 shares traded on Wednesday. This is on of the strongest gold stocks that I’ve seen in years, having gone from 6 1/4-1/2 in May to Wednesday’s high at 15.00. So, about 150% move in five months. It pulled back down and is now forming a coil. To me, it looks like it’s about to spring into action and get up to the 18-19 zone.
