Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARWR) is a recent new swing trade, which is acting great. It moved nicely after coming out of the falling channel. It spiked, pulled back in a falling wedge, and on Thursday it broke out, popping 64 cents, or 15%, to 5.04, on 4.9 million shares traded. Targets going forward are 6, and then 8.
Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc. (NASDAQ:COLL) finally broke out of the wedge with a pop of 1.38, or 7.3%, to 20.29, on 858,336 shares traded. That’s the best volume in a month. For me, if it gets through the double-top at 20.90-21.00, it will run to 23-4, and it may go higher than that. A big short position is at 22-24.
NovoCure Limited (NASDAQ:NVCR) has a new swing put on it. We gave you one back in April. I’ve been watching this stock for months while it was consolidating, it got narrow, and on Wednesday it started to pop, on Thursday it followed through gaining 65 cents, or 3%, to 22.15, on 3.5 million shares traded. It didn’t close great, although it did close above the breakout point. Let’s see if there’s a follow-through on Friday. The volume was huge on Thursday. Targeting 25 1/2-6, and then 29.
SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) is one of the solar stocks that did well today. It jumped 98 cents, or 11 1/2%, to 9.47, on 6.2 million shares traded. Obviously, in July when it ran up, and then came down, it retested. It has a full pattern, which is one big base. In order to make a long-term move, it has to take out 9 3/4, and then I’ll be looking at 11 1/2. My secondary target is 13 3/4-14.
