Lord Abbett High Yield F LHYFX invests the lion’s share of its assets in lower-rated debt securities, including corporate bonds that can be converted into common stocks. LHYFX may invest around one-fifth of its assets in securities of foreign companies. The fund may also invest nearly 20% of its assets in muni bonds. Lord Abbett High Yield F has one-year annualized returns of 8.2%.

As of November 2017, LHYFX held 701 issues, with 1.00% of its assets invested in Neptune Finco 144A 10.875%.

Lord Abbett CA Tax-Free Income F LCFFX seeks federal tax-exempted income. The fund invests heavily in muni bonds that offer interest free from federal income tax as well as California personal income tax. LCFFX attains its investment objective by measuring the Barclays (LON:BARC) Municipal Bond Index’s volatility as an estimate of reasonable risk. Lord Abbett CA Tax-Free Income F has one-year annualized returns of 5.3%.

LCFFX has an expense ratio of 0.68% compared with the category average of 0.89%.

Lord Abbett Floating Rate F LFRFX invests the majority of its assets in adjustable or floating rate senior loans to seek income. LFRFX may invest around one-fourth of its assets in foreign securities including emerging market securities. The fund may also invest around one-fifth of its assets in other debt securities and nearly one-tenth of its assets in derivatives. Lord Abbett Floating Rate F has one-year annualized returns of 4.2%.

Lord Abbett Bond-Debenture F LBDFX seeks maximization of returns through growth of income and capital. LBDFX invests a bulk of its assets in various types of fixed income securities, including debentures and bonds. The fund may also invest in high yield bonds. It may invest around one-fifth of its assets in equity securities, which include preferred and common stocks. LBDFXhas one-year annualized returns of 9.2%.

LBDFX has an expense ratio of 0.71% compared with the category average of 1.01%.
