With nearly $63 billion of assets under management as of Jan 31, 2019, Dreyfus Corporation is considered one of the leaders in the investment management and distribution domain in the United States. Founded in 1951, the company invests its assets in mutual funds from different categories, including both equity and fixed-income mutual funds.

Separately, its parent company BNY Mellon seeks to offer a wide range of financial services, including investment management, investment services and wealth management across 35 countries.

Dreyfus US Equity A DPUAX seeks long-term total return. DPUAX invests a major portion of its assets in equity securities of companies located in the United States. DPUAX invests in companies of any market capitalization. DPUAX invests in those companies that are fundamentally solid and have the potential for sustainable growth. The Dreyfus US Equity A fund has three-year annualized returns of 15.1%.

Dreyfus Global Equity Income A DEQAX invests a large portion of its assets in equity securities. DEQAX invests in dividend-paying companies situated in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Western Europe. DGLCXhas an expense ratio of 1.18% compared with the category average of 1.21%.

Dreyfus Large Cap Equity I DLQIX seeks growth of capital for the long run. DLQIX invests the majority of its assets in equity securities of large-cap companies. Dreyfus Large Cap Equity I has three-year annualized returns of 14.6%.

As of January 2019, DLQIX held 82 issues, with 3.50% of its assets invested in Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN).
