Buying dividend growth stocks is a popular and proven way to make money. A great investor who followed this approach in a very public way is Warren Buffett.

When I don’t have enough ideas regarding what to invest in, I use his holding for inspriation. Today I'll look at the best yielding stocks from his portfolio. Of his 41 stock holdings, 29 pay dividends. The highest yielding stock is still GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), a British drug company. Its dividend yield is 6.12 percent. Buffett's top stocks are a mix of drugs, newspapers and electric utilities.

In total, he owns 41 stocks with a total portfolio worth of USD 75,313,620,000. Buffett bought two new companies and added ten additional stocks to his fund recently. The most important buy was Wells Fargo (WFC) and DaVita HealthCare Partners (DVA). Both stocks increased his portfolio by more than 0.5 percent.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has a market capitalization of $110.71 billion. The company employs 99,488 people, generates revenue of $39.921 billion and has a net income of $7.165 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $13.333 billion. The EBITDA margin is 33.40 percent (the operating margin is 27.97 percent and the net profit margin 17.95 percent).
