Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher while losses in the Basic Materials, Aerospace & Defense and Construction & Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.12%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.85% or 3.95 points to trade at 106.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) added 3.70% or 0.75 points to end at 21.02 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was up 2.36% or 2.14 points to 92.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Safran SA (EPA:SAF), which fell 1.41% or 3.00 points to trade at 209.50 at the close. Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) declined 1.18% or 1.88 points to end at 157.96 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) was down 1.07% or 1.60 points to 147.75.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which rose 5.77% to 2.89, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) which was up 5.20% to settle at 18.00 and Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which gained 4.92% to close at 14.08.
The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was down 8.52% to 3.20 in late trade, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which lost 4.94% to settle at 0.45 and Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 3.66% to 13.42 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 290 to 239 and 90 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.36% or 32.25 to $2,342.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.82% or 0.64 to hit $78.90 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.51% or 0.42 to trade at $83.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 105.05.
