Benchmarks: Capital Expenditures Margin
Capital Expenditures
(CapEx) represents spending on
assets that are enjoyed over a long period of time. Common examples of
capital expenditures
include office buildings, machines,
and vehicles.
This chart plots the percentage of revenue the company and it's
peer group has spent on capital expenditures
in the last
twelve months. Since capital expenditures reduce free cash flow
available to shareholders, differences in spending are often reflected
in valuation multiples.
