Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.95%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which fell 1.10% or 2.3 points to trade at 206.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) fell 1.18% or 4.0 points to end at 335.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 1.27% or 1.7 points to 132.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 4.50% or 5.60 points to trade at 118.90 at the close. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) declined 4.45% or 11.2 points to end at 240.4 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 4.27% or 7.5 points to 168.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 370 to 70 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.98% or 0.47 to $47.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.44% or 0.79 to hit $53.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.03% or 11.20 to trade at $1097.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.4348, while USD/SEK fell 1.08% to 8.4945.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.86% at 96.51.
