Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Textile & Leather and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.74% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which rose 4.69% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 4.13% or 1.26 points to end at 31.80 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was up 3.39% or 0.060 points to 1.830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turcas Petrol AS (IS:TRCAS), which fell 2.06% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.380 at the close. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) declined 1.56% or 0.070 points to end at 4.410 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was down 1.53% or 0.040 points to 2.580.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 193 to 154 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.39% or 0.060 to 1.830.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.59% or 7.70 to $1304.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.50% or 0.30 to hit $60.14 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.36 to trade at $66.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.38% to 3.7889, while EUR/TRY rose 0.81% to 4.5496.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 91.93.
