Investing.com - Japanese retail sales fell more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry said that retail sales fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of -2.6%, from 0.6% in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 0.7%.
Analysts had expected retail sales to fall at annual rate of -0.8% last month.
