FACTBOX-Key events disrupted by volcanic ash cloud over Europe

LONDON, April 20 (Reuters) - The volcanic ash cloud that has turned much of northern Europe into a no-fly zone has also disrupted key economic and political events across the continent.

See below for major events that have been delayed or affected:

* European Commission and International Monetary Fund talks with Greece on a lending plan will start on Wednesday. The talks were initially scheduled to start on Monday but the travel disruptions postponed them.

* The European Central Bank will hold its mid-month meeting on Thursday via teleconference. A planned conference on Thursday and Friday about statistics had been postponed till autumn.

* The IMF and World Bank have said they will go ahead with meetings of global finance chiefs in Washington from Thursday, despite the travel restrictions for European representatives.

* The cloud has raised doubts over whether a meeting of the 28 NATO foreign ministers scheduled for Thursday and Friday in Estonia will take place.

* U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has cancelled plans to travel to Finland this week. It has not yet been decided whether Clinton will travel later in the week to Estonia for a gathering of NATO foreign ministers.

* French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde cancelled a planned trip to N'Djanema on April 20 for a meeting of former French colonies that share the same "zone franc" currency.

* Wednesday's trade cooperation meeting between EU officials and Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has been cancelled. No new date has been set.

* The Estonian central bank postponed the release of its Spring economic forecasts scheduled for Tuesday due to the absence of Central Bank Governor Andres Lipstok, who was also unable to return from Madrid.

* The world retail congress, which was scheduled to take place from Wednesday to Friday in Berlin, was postponed until October.

* Ukraine's main agriculture consultancy UkrAgroConsult said it had postponed its annual Black Sea grain conference, scheduled to start on Wednesday and normally attended by representatives of 50 countries, because of volcano-related travel difficulties.

* Hollywood studio Paramount Pictures has announced it was moving the world premiere of action movie "Iron Man 2" to Los Angeles from London due to uncertainty caused by the travel chaos in Europe. (Compiled by London Editorial Reference Unit)
