Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.32% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.10% or 0.104 points to trade at 3.458 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 3.01% or 0.64 points to end at 21.92 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 2.11% or 0.28 points to 13.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 5.99% or 0.570 points to trade at 8.945 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 3.81% or 0.93 points to end at 23.50 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 1.06% or 0.085 points to 7.940.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 116 to 60 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.75% or 0.31 to $41.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $40.20 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.87% or 11.00 to trade at $1254.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.7781.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.04.
