Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 4.40% or 0.7300 points to trade at 17.3050 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LS:YSO) added 2.87% or 0.0340 points to end at 1.2170 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 1.26% or 0.150 points to 12.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 9.25% or 0.3560 points to trade at 3.4940 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 3.88% or 0.420 points to end at 10.400 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.63% or 0.0049 points to 0.2959.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae (LS:YSO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.87% or 0.0340 to 1.2170.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.22% or 0.15 to $69.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.15 to hit $63.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 9.50 to trade at $1332.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.83% to 1.2132, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 91.06.
