Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 3.05% or 0.0300 points to trade at 1.0120 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.49% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.3410 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.96% or 0.0520 points to 5.4460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.93% or 0.0620 points to trade at 3.1580 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.72% or 0.200 points to end at 11.450 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 1.52% or 0.0450 points to 2.9150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) fell to all time lows; losing 1.93% or 0.0620 to 3.1580.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.00% or 1.23 to $62.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.25% or 1.24 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 12.68 to trade at $1290.88 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1794, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.61.
