Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.29% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 22.22% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Minsur (LM:MINi) added 8.00% or 0.160 points to end at 2.160 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 3.62% or 1.55 points to 44.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which fell 4.52% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.480 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 4.41% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 3.77% or 0.020 points to 0.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 8.00% or 0.160 to 2.160. Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to 3-years highs; down 3.77% or 0.020 to 0.510.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.91% or 1.62 to $57.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.38% or 2.10 to hit $64.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 12.79 to trade at $1281.99 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.2482, while EUR/PEN fell 0.27% to 3.7573.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 94.61.
