Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 8.25% or 1.98 points to trade at 25.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 8.13% or 1.60 points to end at 21.29 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was up 5.62% or 0.1780 points to 3.3440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unipol (MI:UNPI), which fell 2.92% or 0.098 points to trade at 3.254 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) declined 2.50% or 0.047 points to end at 1.832 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was down 2.24% or 0.0085 points to 0.3715.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 221 to 173 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.03% or 0.48 to $46.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.56% or 0.27 to hit $47.81 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1271.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.74% to 1.1292, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.7861.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 94.73.
