Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.34% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 7.59% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.085 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 0.97% or 0.001 points to end at 0.104 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was unchanged 0% or 0 points to 0.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 9.09% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.090 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 8.00% or 0.040 points to end at 0.460 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 7.41% or 0.020 points to 0.270.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 2 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; down 9.09% or 0.009 to 0.090. Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) fell to all time lows; losing 8.00% or 0.040 to 0.460.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.10% or 0.36 to $32.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.20% or 0.41 to hit $33.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.43% or 4.80 to trade at $1103.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.4244, while EUR/PEN rose 0.52% to 3.7222.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.49.
