Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.11% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN), which rose 9.27% or 24.00 points to trade at 283.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Good-Year (IS:GOODY) added 5.50% or 3.55 points to end at 68.05 and Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO) was up 5.45% or 1.80 points to 34.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa (IS:AKSA), which fell 4.78% or 0.50 points to trade at 9.95 at the close. Tupras (IS:TUPRS) declined 3.99% or 3.00 points to end at 72.20 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was down 3.52% or 0.12 points to 3.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 256 to 146 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.27% or 24.00 to 283.00.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.50% or 5.80 to $1161.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.16% or 1.57 to hit $48.06 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.87% or 1.52 to trade at $51.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.35% to 2.9226, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 3.3236.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 94.82.
