Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Elkem ASA (OL:ELK), which rose 8.37% or 1.70 points to trade at 22.02 at the close. Meanwhile, BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) added 7.00% or 2.940 points to end at 44.974 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 6.23% or 0.70 points to 11.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 3.01% or 13.60 points to trade at 438.50 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) declined 1.90% or 4.40 points to end at 226.90 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.51% or 0.94 points to 61.26.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 166 to 52 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.90% or 1.04 to $55.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.50% or 0.88 to hit $59.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 11.45 to trade at $1512.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.45% to 9.9512, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.9703.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 98.137.
