Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Health Care, Industrials and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which rose 4.28% or 1.27 points to trade at 30.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) added 2.28% or 4.490 points to end at 201.800 and Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 2.16% or 0.980 points to 46.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresas ICA, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which fell 3.80% or 0.490 points to trade at 12.490 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 2.03% or 0.270 points to end at 13.100 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was down 1.98% or 1.580 points to 78.180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 72 to 63 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.28% or 4.490 to 201.800.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1166.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in April rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.12 to trade at $58.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.03% to 15.4771, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 16.7925.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 97.64.
