Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 2.85% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Amplifon (BIT:AMPF), which rose 1.17% or 0.40 points to trade at 34.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Inwit (BIT:INWT) added 0.31% or 0.03 points to end at 9.78 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was down 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI), which fell 5.55% or 1.91 points to trade at 32.53 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) declined 5.28% or 1.18 points to end at 21.18 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was down 5.12% or 0.57 points to 10.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 376 to 150 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $78.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $82.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.17% or 27.05 to trade at $2,345.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 105.21.
