Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 3.54% or 0.5900 points to trade at 17.2600 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.44% or 0.53 points to end at 37.35 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.83% or 0.12 points to 14.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 4.71% or 1.34 points to trade at 27.14 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.08% or 0.220 points to end at 10.375 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 1.74% or 0.40 points to 22.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.71% or 1.34 to 27.14.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.71% or 0.43 to $59.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.67% or 0.86 to hit $50.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.40 to trade at $1247.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1344, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8996.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.618.
