Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.09% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 2.27% or 0.22 points to trade at 9.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.98% or 0.66 points to end at 34.00 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.07% or 0.15 points to 14.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 1.62% or 0.28 points to trade at 16.97 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.56% or 0.07 points to end at 4.28 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.01% or 0.04 points to 3.96.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 83 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.56% or 0.07 to 4.28.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.51% or 0.37 to $71.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.51% or 0.35 to hit $68.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 18.41 to trade at $2,664.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.85% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.95% at 105.95.
