Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which rose 4.44% or 1.14 points to trade at 26.84 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 2.29% or 0.75 points to end at 33.51 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.98% or 0.75 points to 38.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which fell 3.31% or 2.80 points to trade at 81.80 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 1.34% or 0.63 points to end at 46.54 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 0.58% or 0.06 points to 10.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 75 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.81% or 0.68 to $84.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.63 to hit $80.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 14.40 to trade at $2,343.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.88.
