Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 3.15% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 0.41% or 0.10 points to trade at 24.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Italcementi (MI:ITAI) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 10.310 and Campari (MI:CPRI) was down 0.37% or 0.03 points to 7.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 9.59% or 3.50 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS) declined 8.24% or 0.0525 points to end at 0.5850 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was down 6.80% or 0.365 points to 5.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 362 to 53 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) fell to all time lows; falling 9.59% or 3.50 to 33.00. Shares in Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.80% or 0.365 to 5.000.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 4.27% or 1.35 to $30.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.27% or 1.12 to hit $33.12 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.70 to trade at $1124.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.0907, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.7574.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 98.97.
