Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 1.95%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 1.27% or 1.00 points to trade at 79.90 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB (BR:UCB) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 76.52 and Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) was down 0.15% or 0.08 points to 51.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 4.31% or 0.546 points to trade at 12.124 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) declined 2.96% or 1.940 points to end at 63.500 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was down 2.77% or 0.70 points to 24.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 91 to 25 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.60 to $1219.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.20% or 0.80 to hit $67.61 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.11% or 0.80 to trade at $72.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 1.04% to 1.1408, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.73% at 96.16.
