Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Property sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 6.94% or 1.080 points to trade at 16.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 1.23% or 2.60 points to end at 214.60 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was up 1.07% or 0.160 points to 15.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which fell 2.04% or 0.120 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) declined 1.98% or 0.160 points to end at 7.940 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was down 1.51% or 26.00 points to 1700.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 105 to 89 and 55 ended unchanged.
Shares in DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.07% or 0.160 to 15.100.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.20% or 2.46 to $1221.56 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.70% or 0.32 to hit $45.17 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.36 to trade at $47.38 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.16% to 7.4525, while USD/PHP fell 0.06% to 50.535.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 95.47.
