Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which rose 2.71% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) added 2.49% or 1.15 points to end at 47.25 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.95% or 1.34 points to 70.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 2.67% or 154.00 points to trade at 5606.00 at the close. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) declined 1.95% or 0.88 points to end at 44.20 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was down 1.86% or 0.11 points to 5.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 286 to 248 and 179 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.78% or 0.92 to $50.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.05% or 1.08 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1268.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.33% to 4.3234, while USD/PLN rose 0.70% to 3.9538.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 98.22.
