Investing.com - Consumer confidence within the euro zone fell in February, revised industry data showed on Friday.
In a report, the European Commission said that euro zone consumer confidence was revised to an annual rate of -0.9 from the initial reading of -8.8 reported on February 19, and compared to -6.3 in January.
Analysts had expected euro zone consumer confidence to clock in at -7.0 in February.
After the release, EUR/USD traded at 1.1014 compared to 1.1016 prior to the data, EUR/JPY was at 124.42 relative to the previous 124.38, and EUR/GBP moved at 0.7851 compared to 0.7852 earlier.
European stocks continued posting gains after the release with the benchmark Euro Stoxx 50 rising 2.63%.
