By Greg Morcroft - Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Time Warner Inc (NYSE:TWX) appeared close to a resolution of a pricing dispute and the online retailer's customers are once again able to place preorders for some of the movie studios discs, according to a report late Monday.
The Wall Street Journal reported that preorders for movies like Johnny Depp's "Transcendence" and "300: Rise of An Empire are able to be preordered now.
In a tussle with suppliers Amazon has been refusing to sell what may be the biggest new releases of the summer: J.K. Rowling’s latest novel “The Silkworm” from Hachette Book Group and “The Lego Movie” DVD from Warner Home Video.
